Re: 5yr old Silvia not making much foam

I don't block everyone, just persistent trolls/spammers who keep changing their posting name. It's a question of signal to noise ratio - even if the troll occassionally has something useful to say, the troll/spam posts outweigh that at some point (in my judgment and last time I looked I still get to decide what I read and what I don't) and into my killfile they go, no matter how many times they change their name.

Surely a good idea (though actually against manuf. instructions) to backflush a Silvia but this would not account for steaming problems.

Redundant or not, I find his contributions valuable & worth reading. Your posts, on the other hand, are self-serving and deprecating to everyone else.

Thanks Jack! But you didn't mention back flushing: if he hasn't descaled you can bet he's not taken care of the 3-way valve either.

PS Do descale your machine - that's another possible source for your problem

possible that your boiler is now plated with (or even almost filled with)
scale.

All this "denver " stuff is redundant because he does not read the
input from others. he has it blocked.

dumb,huh?
