I'm not as creative with bakery menus as I'd like to be. My tastes
are pretty pedestrian and run to key lime pie, muffins, etc. I'm
putting together a new menu for our baked goods and pastries and would
entertain any suggestions of what readers of ac look for in a
coffeehouse bakery case. We currently have the standard brownies,
turnovers, croissants, bagels, cookies. scones, cinnamon rolls. No
pies. No cakes. Which do you prefer? Thanks.
Bernie (still working on the spudnuts....)
Nothing will satisfy me like a 'real' danish pastry, any time of the day.
However, nothing is worse to me than those cinnamon buns that are full
inside of uncooked dough that smell a certain way; I don't know what that
odor is -- I guess it's supposed to be good. Then they top it off with some
sort of yellow creamy looking goo. Yuk-yukie-poo!
