Re: Who I wouldn't buy anything from and why.

After reading the Google archives of this group I've discovered the
following: David Blain & Tex Harmon both sell PIDs for espresso machines;
one installs them on new machines he sells and machines sent to him; the
other primarily sells kits that customers install on their machines and does
some installs on machines sent to him.

Both seem to have good reputations as far as the quality of their goods go.
I base that more on the lack of negative postings as I do affirmative
postings. Both have lousy reputations as far as their behavior in this &
other forums.

Based on that, I wouldn't buy anything from either, simply because I hate
conflict and distance myself from confrontation whenever possible. Because
of that I prefer doing business with people who sell quality products and
behave in a civilized manner.

So I'll be buying a kit for my Rancilio home machine fromhttp://www.pidkits.com. The owner seems to be one of the most respected
persons on this and other coffee forums and I feel comfortable that any
dealings with him will be positive, both professionally & personally.

If this stirs up the two combatants, so be it. I'm hoping that both will
read this and understand that their behavior is cutting into their incomes
and act accordingly.

Belton Homers, all day long!

How sad. but then I don't offer kits, so your alleged purchase or non-
purchase of my NON-product will have no effect on me whatever.

and I fully enjoy this forum.
and lastly, my rep. on CG is very very good, while harmon has been
removed.

If I got any busier, I'd have to hire help, and THAT is something I do
not want to do.

So, swing for the fences, "Belton"
