In the latest scrimmage in the battle to control Ethiopia's coffee
trade, the government has suspended the licenses of the country's
largest coffee exporters, Bloomberg News reported today. Until things
get sorted out, no coffee is leaving Ethiopia.
I've still got some Haraar left in my stash, but this'll run out soon.
Tribal warfare and the growing of the more profitable drug Chat (Khat,Qat
etc) means tough times for the home of coffee.

Well, for now what may be the last of the *black market beans* are
being distributed on GCNC at reasonable prices. I just roasted some
Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Koke to a Full City+ and it's delicious. Next
week it'll be an Ethiopian Yirgacheffe IMV at a City roast.
If you like Ethiopian coffee (and I definitely do), you'd better enjoy
it now while micro-lots of high quality coffees are still available!
The intent of the legislation is to raise the prices of lower quality
beans by mixing them with the higher quality beans.
