Nope. It just drops out in a stream of honey-like
guiness goodness. I think one of the things that
helps avoid channelling is to not tamp... grind fine
enough for a zero tamp, overfill the filter a bit, rap
it a few times to settle the grounds, strike off with
a flat edge, and lock in... but I'll bet there are a
more than a few people who engage in handstand tamps
who will disagree. ;-)

and cons of tamping.....if I recall correctly, the general concensus was the
importance of tamping was very much overrated !!
