Stir Crazy/Turbo sensor cleaning?

Have you ever cleaned the temp sensor? If so, where might it be?
Read somewhere about someone cleaning the sensor on a commercial roaster; made me think I've scraped and cleaned the glass a few times so I can see what is going on, and this made me wonder if I should clean the convection oven sensor.
Roasted some today, seems the roasting time is creeping upward, which I would attribute to new beans.
If the sensor was gunked up, it would seem that the crud would insulate the sensor; but then again a tarry substance in contact
with the sensor would conduct heat quicker than air, and lead to false high temp readings, causing it to cycle off quicker.
Been using the turbo roaster weekly for almost 2 years this spring.
The convection oven model is CO-100, forgot who made it.
What say ye group?
Thanks
Mark
