I've seen on this NG; I thought I'd humbly give it a try. Have any
used the Michael Graves drip coffee maker, which received a very high
rating in Consumers Report this past month? It's at a tightwad price
of $40, though it's a sightly more $45 at Target. It has a "flavor
enhancer", which increases flavor by dripping at about half the speed
that a normal drip coffee machine does. Do any have thoughts about
this feature and/or the Michael Graves machine.
Thanks,

My Braun does the same thing. Two heat settings so you can brew quickly
or slowly. No fancy doodads, just a switch.

Haven't used this one but it is a nice looking unit. Amazon has them
for $39.29 but they show out-of-stock.

Personally I've tried a lot of drip coffee pots over the years and apart
from the electric doodads they fairly much all produce the same results
till you get up to the adjustable temperature ones. And those would blow
your budget. :)

My personal preference is still the presspot (French press).

I've periodically used the press type coffee maker. It certainly makes
better coffee than most other devices. I'm wondering why this should be.
Recently I put cardboard underneath the pot to keep the "dripped coffee"
from being "cooked" while the whole drip process is going on. From there
the coffee goes immediately into an Air-Pot for the rest of the day. I find
this makes a difference.
Cheers,
