Livia's erratic behavior

Hello and Happy Holidays to alt posters (and lurkers, too)! I wonder
if anyone else has had similar problems with their Livia. Mine is a 1-
group automatic (with programmable brew buttons) bought from 1st Line
in November 2006. Here are the symptoms:
When I turn it on, neither yellow nor green light comes on. What
happens instead seems random: sometimes one, sometimes two or all
three lights above the brew buttons comes on. Sometimes they flash. At
the same time, sometimes the pump starts and sometimes not. And
sometimes water flows from the grouphead.
I looked at the motherboard (as suggested by a local repair guy who
doesn't work on Pasquini) and I don't see any signs of water or
corrosion or calcium.
These symptoms didn't just start one day. They happened infrequently
at first but gradually became more frequent. At first, if I shut it
off and restarted, it would work normally. Now it won't behave at
all.
Another random thing at first was that it sometimes didn't warm up.
Now I can't keep it on long enough (because of the erratic behavior)
to warm up.
Last night, after I put it back together and re-started it, I got the
same random symptoms plus I noticed a little water coming through the
vent strips on both sides of the outer casing. I hadn't noticed this
before. (Probably unrelated - I must have pulled a pipe loose)
Has anyone else had these problems? Jim at 1st Line suspects the
motherboard.
