I've been purchasing my beans freshly roasted from a local roaster.
Blend is great and the quality consistent. Except that of the last
20#s, I've had two that contained decent sized stones. I've never had
a stone in any other whole bean coffee I've purchased in the last 20
years and the 10% stoneage I've seen so far seems high. Thoughts?
Thanks,
Mike
I buy almost all my green from Sweet Maria's, have been for 8 years now. I
have never had a stone in any of their green beans.
I've picked up stone from some African coffee. I dip from a candy jar
and saw it before tossing a measure into the grinder. I'd probably
take to a sieve first if that were a regular occurrence. Been on an
Indonesian kick of late, although I've heard of some good deals with
African governments and subsidizing a coffee plantation.
