I've tried press pot with my ginder, too much mud in the cup. My grinder is
fine for my vacuum pot or aeropress but too much powder for a press pot.
What is a good grinder for the press pot? I can't afford $300.
My opinion only: I don't think a press pot warrants a grinder more
complicated or expensive than a small Krups grinder which is about
$20. Also, maybe he just used an exceptionally good bean. Then
again, his bean probably was different than your bean.
Even so, if you are going to buy a more expensive grinder, why don't
you change beans and see if it will change the chaulkiness or
muddiness or ... (Check my spelling for me, Alan.)
