I use my broadband connection from one provider to access newsgroups from
another provider, so I know it is possible in some circumstances to make it
work. You are probably right about the ISP not allowing it. Maybe a call
to their tech support could get you in.

configuration? If it is blocked, then you won't get Usenet feeds.

HI Ed. I've tried that route without success. I'm sure it is just
that the ISP won't allow me to access them as a news group server if I
don't show their (qwest) address. Google seems to be working for me.
