Those are just YOUR numbers dan.

and please tell me WHEN your "massive boilers" DO turn on, how MUCH
current are they pulling? far more than 1.4 KW, methinks.
3KW? 5KW? more?
and your oppositional postion is fully expected, each and every time.
Quit being so rude Dave. You come out with unqualified statements that you present as fact, when there are many reasons why people wish to do what they do, based on personal preference and not just black and white.
I have been polite and merely given a point of view, as well as agreeing with you that 24/7 operation isn't required and is likely to be frowned on in these days of global warming, but you still feel the need to be aggressive in your posts.
If you cannot hold a reasonable conversation, or allow anyone to have a point of view that doesn't co-incide with yours, then just stop posting. And stop trying to second guess *my* opinions. They are mine, and, whilst you are welcome to enter into a reasoned discussion, I wish you'd stop being so bloody arrogant and reactionary. Everyone is entitled to a point of view.
