My working theory on this is it is due to water temperature
not bean problems. As such, does anyone know someone
local to the Boston area who has the equipment to test this
theory out? I don't feel like buying all the equipment needed,
but would be happy to pay someone to help.
Measuring the temperature of water exiting the machine is quite easy,
and thermometers adequate for this purpose are both affordable and
easily found. The procedure is described at various web pages and in
messages posted here. (Try adding "styrofoam" to your keyword list.)
Local thermometer sources may include your supermarket and hardware
stores. What test are you thinking about?
