Re: FYI - WDT using a cut down canning funnel

Not sure about you yet *Alan*, but I'll treat the question as legit. The
video shows the tremors I have and reinforce why the wide-mouth funnel could
be helpful to folks like me who'd prefer to have the coffee in the filter
rather than all over the place.

Should I have been more explicit (I thought most folks would get it.)?

Enjoy!

I don't know Tex. That looks like a solution looking for a problem.
You
still end up with grinds all over the place even though they are on a
paper
towel at the end. You also have to remove and reinstall the filter
into the
portafilter handle. Seems like a pain to me.
I personally just use my finger to move the grinds around, push down a
bit
and smooth the grinds in the portafilter before tamping. It works for
me.

I came up with this to help me keep from tossing grounds all over the
counter. It's also a simplified way to use the Weiss Distribution
Technique.

Yeah, Ed - but... Take a look at this video & you'll see why it can be
*very* helpful to some folks!

Maybe I'm missing something or you've posted a link to the wrong video,
but I fail to see how that video is relevant to your funnel technique.
Would appreciate a clarification. Thanks
