Re: Help Tuning New Grinder.

Hey all, I just upgraded my old blade grinder to a Zassenhaus hand-
crank grinder and am having trouble finding the right grind. Many
reviews on this site say things like lock up the burs then back it off
one click, or put it to dial setting 9; problem is I just have a
little screw to turn. So (for a double)am I trying to achieve the 2 oz
in 25/30 seconds. Anyone had any experience with this type of
grinder??
Thanx!

I love them for press pot, vac and drip brewing but they don't offer the range of fine adjustment necessary for espresso. Apart form that, it will take several minutes to grind a double shot. To make matters worse, the models with the adjustment nut between the crank and the box do not stay in adjustment when you are grinding that fine so you end up with an inconsistent grind which really makes pulling a decent shot tough.
