McDonalds coffee is vile, but I've had worse: Carls Jr. It was like hot
water with a spoonful of vegemite (or Bonox) dissolved in it. Even

Starbucks is evil etc etc, it's the nearest thing to coffee you can get in
the US. But it's still bloody awful.

"McDonalds coffee" is something of a misnomer, since they use
different roasters in different regions, for example, Green Mountain
in the Northeast and Gavina on the West Coast. McDonalds has upgraded
its coffee so far in the past year that Wall St. considers them a
threat to Starbucks. McDonalds even sells coffee in some locations
under the "Green Mountain" name.

These may not be ultra-premium or Cup of Excellence winners, but are
usually very drinkable and in no way deserving of the name "vile." For
an even better cup of chain shop coffee, you could walk into a Peet's
in dozens of cities. Far from insulting your palate, you might even
enjoy yourself.

It would help, if after they improved their coffee they would do something
to improve the ambience of their outlets....That public washroom decor,
leaves a lot to be desired :-)) But there again, as with *$ I guess you
cant knock success !!
