Can you substantiate that?
They do it all in-house now, so I would guess the additional sales
created by web site improvement would have to cover the out-sourced
web design and maintenance. That's a lot of additional sales.
OTOH, if you let them know of a problem with the site they usually
it ;- )
I think the major problem with their website is that when you click on
many of their links it opens a new browser. This presents a problem
for people who choose not to have pop ups open up on the newer
versions of IE.

Respectfully I disagree. Usually such settings do not, by design, block
windows that open from the same site.
If they do you should take that problem up with MS no SM or get a real
browser that can tell the difference.- Hide quoted text -

Hello. Is your disagreement borne out of actual experience in using
the newer versions of MS IE set with popup features enabled, or are
you making your statement just for arguments sake without actually
having used the newer versions with their site?
Hello Len,
my disagreemnt is borne out of actual experience: I have used and continue
to use various versions of various browsers on their site up to and
including IE7 and FF2 on windows as well as Safari and Camino on Mac OS X
and links on linix
None of these browsers, including IE7 with pop-up blocker enabled by
default, blocks the launch of the new window from the sweet marias link on
their front page that you mentioned.
<a href="prod.greencoffee.mvc.shtml" target="_blank">huge selection of green
coffees</a>
If it does for you on IE7 then either you have your pop-up settings too
strict (mine are on default which is med) or MS has a bug in their browser.
If you use the High seting on IE then sure it wil do what is says: block all
pop-ups.
Here is some of what MS has to say about pop-ups:
"Some windows are not blocked: Pop-up Blocker is smart enough to not block
pop-up windows that you open deliberately by clicking a link-for example, if
you were on a travel reservation site and you clicked a link to open a
pop-up window containing your confirmation details, this pop-up window would
not be blocked because you opened it intentionally."
If OTOH it is the launch of the new window that annoys you in IE7 try
holding down the control key as you click the link, that way it will open in
a new tab, even with pop-blocker set to high.
Happy surfing :-)

p.s. it is always an option to write Tom and ask him to change those
links...
