Missed you at the SCAA but then I was only there Saturday looking at the
booths.

I was REALLY busy both days. There were so many people I had to see, a
number of others I wanted to make contact with, and I spent a number
of hours each day working with the Hottop folks. Even getting onto the
floor early with an exhibitor pass I still didn't get to talk with all
the vendors I would have liked to.

I did get to talk with a number of folks whom I had 'met' here on
alt.coffee and in other online venues over the years but never got a
face to face with- it was really great. For the first time I had
really felt the impact I had made in the world of coffee. Sure, it's a
small impact, all things considered, but it is still so much fun to be
able to take a hobby (if you want to call it that) and have so much
fun with it, and yet still make a little money on the side doing it as
well.

Like many others here I don't see his posts only others replies to them
quoting him.

I was not so lucky. Even after making it QUITE clear last year at
Charlotte that I wanted nothing to do with him, and even after
numerous posts here (on and off for about the last 18 months) stating
I wanted him to leave me alone, and after a number of E-Mails to him
telling him I did not wish communication with him of ANY sort, he
STILL walked up to me in Long Beach and tried to enter in some sort of
apologetic dialogue. No need to enter into the details here, but the
witnesses around me stated that my point to him was quite clear this
time and that there was no way to mistake the meaning of what I said.

[STALK v. - To follow or observe (a person) persistently, especially
out of obsession or derangement.]

Perhaps we need an inclusiion in the alt-coffee-bot text warning newbies ;-)

Re-worded cigarette side-panel warnings would be a start.

I still like this group but Ken is right about where the action is mostly
these days: elsewhere.

And that is just so sad, but I suppose that when someone walks through
the dog run with disregard as to what is under foot and then tracks it
over the white carpeting in the Beverly Hills mansion, the plate of
caviar at the other end of the room loses its appeal. Anyone know of
an effective Internet carpet cleaning service?

I suppose he won't be happy until he is the only one left and the
group becomes his personal billboard.
