Saeco Odea Giro Plus Super Auto

I've got a Saeco Odea Giro Plus. I know that Super Auto's aren't really what this group is about, but I was wondering if any of you had experience of the machine, or it's output, and what you thought?

My feeling is that it makes a very nice ristretto or espresso, but that the long coffees are poor.

Also I have no luck making Americanos out of the shots it produces - can't believe there is much in it but I'm obviously doing something wrong so any tips please?
