If I get a divot in the puck it is ususally in the 2 o'c position really
strange, happens a lot less with under dosing (probably closer to 14gms)
happens more with over dosing ie fill then tap firmly on the bench before
sweeping etc. My machine is a VBM 2 group.

I recently gave my machine a very thorough cleaning. Took the
screen and plate above it out of the group, cleaned said group
'til everything ran free, cleaned all parts to as new condition,
put it all back together and ran water until tasteless...
All looks good (and works well with respect to results) but almost
every shot, there's a small divot in the puck around 2 o'clock.
Always in the same place - so I figured it must be a high pressure
spot. Fiddled everything. Nothing visible to the eye (no high
pressure spurts or such like) just a small hole in the top of the
puck.
Is this a common problem? I'm not overly worried as the drinks are
fine - but my esthetic sense is violated...
