Gaggia classic daily cleaning question

I just posted my daily cleaning in a recent post. This question is about steam pressure going through the shower head.
I like to rinse the shower head with water and wipe the coffee residue off after every use. Sometimes there's still a bit of steam pressure, and it will give a second or so of steam before the pump pushes hot water through it. Is there a problem with doing this? Should I wait until the boiler cools down some, or is it not an issue?
TIA
