I have one of those cheapo cuisinart 4-cup coffee brewers, and it's
been great until recently. That "bubbling" sound that usually means
the brewing is done now happens constantly throughout the brewing
process, from start to finish -- and it takes much longer. It almost
seems as if there is a "leak" somewhere in the process. Does anyone
know what might cause this, and how I can fix it?
It's almost certainly clogged up with scale from minerals in your feed
water. Some people recommend running vinegar or citric acid solution
through to dissolve it, though personally I think the proprietary brand
products are more effective if the build-up has got as far yours sounds
to be.
