Problems with 4-cup brewer

I have one of those cheapo cuisinart 4-cup coffee brewers, and it's
been great until recently. That "bubbling" sound that usually means
the brewing is done now happens constantly throughout the brewing
process, from start to finish -- and it takes much longer. It almost
seems as if there is a "leak" somewhere in the process. Does anyone
know what might cause this, and how I can fix it?
