Your method is not unlike a vac pot, which again automates the task
somewhat. First you have a steeping with agitation and then the brew is
separated from the grounds. The vac has some advantages in that the temp is
maintained during the steep period and also it allows the use of a fine
grind and yet the grounds are quickly separated from the brew by the vacuum.
First you have a steeping with agitation - Time not controlled.
Agitation not controlled.
So, stir like "crazy" is in control? How utter enlightening.
Which would you like to clean?
My press pot. Just as clear as a bell.
Counter space?
About six square inches for the single. The multi-cup resides in a
cupboard unless I need it.
Price?
Cheapo presspots are available for about $10. See your local import
store.
Control?
Stir like crazy? Right.
One cup brewing?
Yep.
Multi cup brewing?
Yep.
Simple is really BETTER!
Simple is going with what I have and what works very well, thank you
very much.
