To my fellow coffee aficionados,
My husband and I invented a new coffee accessory . . . The Java Wand
which permits you to brew and drink a single serving of your favorite
coffee in your mug anytime, anyplace.
Kudos to you for your inventiveness.
However, your device will keep the te leaves or coffeegrounds in contact
with the water for far too long. With green tea, the brewing time is
crucial. If the tea is brewed too long, it gets bitter. Coffee too needs
a correct brewing time, and once the coffee is exposed to the brewing
water for more than 4 or 5 minutes, the flavor will get worse, not better.
All that being said, I think your device would work well for drinking
Yerba Mate.
