I bought this one:
http://auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=3
for $44.50 plus shipping from the same people and it has worked well for me.
Looks like basically the same thing but with a dual display (set temp and
actual temp) which is not absolutely necessary (probably would have bought
the cheaper one if it was available at the time). You also need an SSR and
a suitable thermocouple probe (and a way to mount in in your boiler). And
some kind of box to mount it in if you don't want to mount it internally in
your machine (possibly not the best idea anyway as the inside of an espresso
machine is a little toasty for the long term health of electronics. The
"free" thermocouple that they give you has a very short screw threaded probe
and is not well suited for most espresso applications.

Why is it that the Fuji PXR3 PID seem like it is the top choice in-Dependable with an excellent track record even when mounted in the
Silvia PIDing?
machine
-relatively affordable
-Good warranty
-Good support
-Wide range of options
With that said, there are alternatives that cost less, like on eBay,
that run $40-50 or so and if you are on a budget ar worth looking
into. Be sure that you get one that has SSR output, Auto tuning is
also very nice. This one http://tinyurl.com/hxgyg for $43 delivered is
an excellent deal and others may comment on its applicabiltiy for this
purpose, but it looks like it would work fine...
