Check on ebay for 'metro data vacs' - I have a vintage one that I got
for about $4 there a few years back - it's metal, it's powerful - not a
toy, is electric (not battery) but is also small, lightweight and easy
to maneuver. Came with a hose and a good set of small
nozzles/attachments/brushes for cleaning in tight spots -- and it also
works great for blowing (for bean cooling - or with nozzles, to blast
grounds out of nooks/crannies).
My vintage one looks much the same as their new models, except for the
paint job (brown/beige - at some point I may paint it to match my
grinder, but I kind of am digging it's 70s look right now ).
I'd guess newer models might be more powerful - not sure - but if you
can find an oldie for sale on ebay, worth grabbing -- they're usually
'undervalued' (aka really cheap), and make a very handy (and dare I say
attractive?) addition to the kitchen/coffee shrine. Mine not only works
great but always gets raves from visitors because of its construction
and atomic look - and everyone =really= loves the large official
looking "PROPERTY OF THE EPA" (environmental protection agency) sticker
that it came with (most likely not available on all models ;).
