That's true - I was addressing the aesthetics/features question.

BTW, I posted on the wiring, but it doesn't seem to have made it out of my
home network, so here's another try:

I didn't have exactly the same problem (since we decided to run a 240V
line), but the limiting factor is the wire gauge. Depending on your setup,
an electrician might be able to upgrade you by clipping new wire to the old,
and dragging it through using the old wire.
