those beeps are fine. The ones I find annoying are where it keeps beeping
periodically, apparently to tell you it is still on. But it turns itself
off after a short while anyway, and I'd bet it consumes the battery more
with those beeps then if it just stayed silent. You can turn it off, but
once again you are back to those tiny buttons with more resistance to
pushing than is needed, which require you to basically position your hand or
hands in a way to push the button while not pushing the lightweight thing
off the table and onto the floor. A minor annoyance, but an annoyance
nonetheless. But, whaddya want for ten bucks?
