One thing to note about a Mazzer Mini (or any Mazzer), is if you look at
them as an investment, they are really a good deal even if you pay full
price for a new one.

At the bottom end a burr grinder capable of producing decent espresso
will cost you about $115 US. Assuming you use it a few times every day,
in 10 years time you will likely be on your third of these "cheap"
grinders. In 10 years inflation will likely drive up the cost of this
"cheap" grinder to about twice what it is now. So in 10 years time you
will spend more on "cheap" grinders than what a Mazzer would cost you
brand new today. In 10 years the Mazzer will still be going strong,
possibly even on the same set of burrs and virtually in like new
condition provided you took decent care of it. In 10 years you'll
probably be able to sell it for more than what you paid for it. A
Mazzer Mini will grind coffee at least twice as fast as a $115 grinder.
So in those 10 years, if you opt for the "cheap" grinder, you'll have
had to put up with a half-fast grinder which ultimately cost you more
than a Mazzer would have. If you think about it, a new Mazzer is a
great deal.
