Don't know who does the audit. Typically an audit would only be done once a year in an organization like this one. The board would review the financials each month (or they should) but if your numbers are coming

from the guy doing the embezzelment its of no use. It is disgusting, but 

very common.

My understanding is there were no audits and no financial reporting to
the membership. I've been a professional member for a year an a half
and have never seen a statement. This is clearly going to haunt an
organization that endorses "transparency" when dealing with the
financial affairs of the third world.

There may have been no finacial reporting to the membership unless requested. That isn't too uncommon. But if there were no yearly audits and no finance committee looking over (even phony) monthly financial statements then...then...I just can't believe it.
