I did a "spring lever approximation" by attacheing a variac to a vibe
pump a while back, it worked down to about 6.5 bar (85 volts). Below
that the the flow through the puck started cutting out too.
The OPV on my machine, as on other vibe machines I've heard about, is
nowhere near the ideal right angled curve. It limits the upper
pressure, but also drops the entire pump curve like a resistive
element.
