At $285, the Rocky is getting up there. For instance, Sovrana is
selling the Cunill Tranquilo, a fully commercial 1/2 HP, 64mm burr
Spanish grinder, with a doserless design that Mazzer, ahem, used as
inspiration, for their Mini E, at an insane $199 It also has a nice
low doser.

If they're out, try Cora at $233 with free shipping

Astra sells it rebadged for at $380

The Cunill innards are long lasting (ask Danny who uses them
commercially), but this model had some bad runs on the electronic
timer, although I heard no complaints about the replacements being
bad. At roughly half the price of the Mini E, it seems a great deal
even with a chance at a warranty replacement.

Sovrana is also selling the a doser version which looks like the
standard Cunill Brasil with the Tranquilo hopper for $10 more. This
may be the deal of the year in commercial grinders.

BTW, newbies think doserless grinders are better for single servings;
they are quite wrong. But that is something for the next time you buy
a grinder, since you lot never seem to be persuadable on this the
first time around.
