The merits (or lack of merit) in posting to open auctions has been discussed
before so there is no point in re-hashing. However, I'd say that even the
anti-posting group (including me) would not object to a posting for a group
or series of machines (especially "starter" machines) since such a public
announcement does not deprive any "regular"of a possible advantage. Many
years ago I found a vendor that was closing out a bunch of Saeco Via Venetos
(relabeled as Melitta) for $49 and I was only too glad to share this with
the group (after I had ordered mine - they sold out soon after). I wish I
knew of more such deals at the moment but I don't. This is very different
than posting a link to an open auction of a single machine, especially a
"semi-hidden" auction for a "capuchino maker" or a "Sylvia" . Not to
mention that since this is an un-moderated group, you are free to defy the
group consensus (to the extent that such a thing exists at all) if you
want - the most we can do is yell at you electronically. So, if you know of
any seller selling a bunch of Coffee Gaggias for $75, post away.
