My employer has offered me a smartphone to use. I don't want two

my phone from the Family Plan. VZW says if I drop one phone from our
Family Plan I must pay $140 to cancel that part of the contract. I
tried talking them into waiving the penalty but they wouldn't budge.

What are my other options? Can the Blackberry Storm 2 have two numbers
ring into it? Can I call out or text from the ported number? Is there
a magic word I can use to get the penalty waived?

No, the Storm 2 is not dual NAM. You could forward your existing phone to your Blackberry but it's be cheaper to pay the termination fee than to keep the 2nd phone.
