When FIOS comes around I'll probably take them up on it.
Just take my advice and DON'T do it! I worked as a Network Technician
for VZ for a couple of years and the culture of how employees and
customers are treated is horrendous. Everything will be great when
your system is working but when something goes wrong that is not easily
fixed by a reboot of the ONT you will be stuck in customer service
Hell. If you have any billing problems you might just prefer Hari-Kari
over trying to resolve it.
I can concur. I live LITERALLY right across the street from a huge
Verizon 411 call center. A fair number of people I know work for
Verizon, either there or at the local field repair office.
