Why do you think Verizon had anything to do with the above? You
might want to discuss it with RIM or Motorola, they're the ones

I believe it to be Verizon's decision to include certain options or
not. You clearly don't.

I know wi-fi was not VZW's decision since Sprint phones are exactly the
same. RIM had no wi-fi on any CDMA phones until the latest group,
general consensus is that CDMA networks had the speed while GSM
networks needed wi-fi because of limited 3g availability so the T-Mo
phones I've had included wi-fi but not 3g, even the 8900 which is a
fairly recent phone. RIM's choice, not VZW/Sprint or T-Mo/AT&T.

and will probably introduce Outlook compatibility in the Droid 2.

Can't comment on that as I don't know but I suspect Google had
something to do with that.

There's no telling why phone makers do as they do, why do Motorola dumb
phones sync with Outlook while Samsung phones won't?
