Last year my buddy who owns a commercial property for his manufacturing
business was approached by VZW to rent a space in the rear of his
building. His building is adjacent to two other commercial buildings and
all are at least 50 years old. There is an access road for all three
that joins the main street. A few years ago someone decided to build a
house on the access road and then they immediately started complaining
about the traffic on the road and the danger it presents to their
children... So when they got wind of the cell site they had all of the
media there to complain about the danger of all of this "radiation" to
their children.



My former diesel shop owner was approached by one of the PCS carriers about
putting up a tower in his backlot behind his shop. He, very wisely, told
them no thanks. Then, he hired a tower company to install two towers, one
on either end of the property inside very nicely installed security fencing
with AC power, lighting, etc. He called all the cellphone companies to
inform them about his tower services. The towers are loaded down with
antennas and cabling, now, and the diesel shop is permanently closed. He
doesn't work any more, just stops by the bank to make sure the banker
doesn't have his fingers in the pie.....(c;]
