Re: Verizon to Buy Alltel

Alltel users can kiss their nice service good bye. No more unlimited internet for $10 or $25. No more Circle unlimited calls to any system. No more excellent EVDO service, even way out in the boondocks of the Southeast USA. No more REGIONAL plans with lots of minutes for people who do not travel and never fly.

Wouldn't Verizon use the Alltel towers that provide the "excellent EVDO service..."?

I understand your rant about plan pricing, but I don't understand how Verizon would just give up the Alltel towers. Wouldn't the purchase of Alltel benefit Verizon users in areas where Alltel has towers and VZW has none or no agreements?
