Need Recommendations for a New Phone

Hi, my Verizon contract has expired and I want to keep Verizon as a provider
but need to get rid of my
Razor phone due to poor reception at times and poor battery life. I live
in the northeast and use my wireless phone only for phone calls, though I
might like to take picture once in awhile.

Recommendations for a phone that has good bvattery life and good reception
are welcome.
