Of course not, but when they roamed in analog mode they roamed almost
entirely on GSM/analog towers which, of course, shows that Verizon had
agreements with GSM carriers as I've previously pointed out.




A couple of flaws in your logic. The first is that Verizon designed those
phones to run on their own AMPS network and smaller AMPS carriers. They
did not roam primarily on GSM/AMPS towers as you claim- they roamed on AMPS
towers out in the middle of nowhere, most of which were operated by rural
AMPS only carriers. Cingular and ATT's were both primarily TDMA, which was
not included in the Verizon phones.

To my knowledge, there has never been a phone that contains both US CDMA
and US GSM capabilities. There has never been a roaming agreement between
carriers that would the CDMA customers of one to roam on the GSM network of
another, or vice versa.
