Probably did as did my e815. There are those who complain about Verizon "crippling"* phones and there are those who figure changing a phone's programming is easier, faster and MUCH more successful than complaining.

*Verizon has never crippled any phone, every Verizon phone will do everything Verizon says it will.



Thats a matter of semantics. Verizon specifies the feature set they want on the phones. So say a particular model can do functions A, B, G, and W. Verizon would order that phone with feature "G" natively disabled but with the ability to re-enable it for a recurring charge.

So yes they didn't cripple their version but they did cripple the phone.
