problems with loose connector on power adaptor

We have 4 brand-new (6 weeks old) Motorola Razr phones. I am the only
one using a car charger right now and I am having real problems with
the vehicle power adaptor connection to the phone. (The adaptor came
with the phone in a package from Costco.) Anyways, the connection is
loose so the phone constantly switches back and forth from charging to
not charging. If you pick up the phone to see what it's doing, by the
time you put it down again it could be doing something else.
I spoke to someone in customer service at Verizon and they told me
that it is a manufacturer defect and I'm not the only one having this
problem. I can have the phone replaced at a Verizon store, but the
other 3 phones could still have a problem. If I decide to give up on
the Razr completely then I will not be able to "re-get" the free car
charger.
Any thoughts? Has anyone had any contact with Motorola directly on
this issue?
