Ask 'em if the ship has free wifi. Most of them do, now, right
in your cabin and in all public areas like dining rooms/lounges.

If they have free Wifi, you need Skype for free. Install it back
home and you can contact them whenever you like...without the big
ripoffs.

You can also use Googletalk or one of the other free VoIP
services, of course....(c;
