Re: Newsgroups With Air Card?

Not sure if you ever read the post I posted, but here's the first paragraph
of it again...
Depends... I use the german news server (under $15 a year, info and signup
at http://news.individual.net/)... There are other ones, and even some for a
few bucks a year cheaper, but this fit my needs/has been working fine for me
for about 6 years....

So go to that website, sign up, and they have specific news server names
(usually given when you sign up for the account, it will be
news.individual.net), and specific instructions to install things, depending
on what news reader you use.....

Whether you use an aircard/dialup/cable/dsl/tether to cell phone etc, that
will be your connection, and those all work pretty much the same.. it's what
software you have, what newsgroups you want, and what your ISP allows that
matters..... The aircard (or another way) makes absolutely no difference in
how you access the internet.

As I recall, you said you wanted to travel, but have no clue what ISP you
use now, and if they allow access when you are travelling (some do, some do
not, and some require you to log on with a username/password if you are not
using their native connections, and some only allow access to email but not
to news... so you may need a whole new ISP)....

Not sure what exactly you are looking for, the aircard works the same
(pretty much) as any other type of connection....
dial-up/WiFi/Sat/Network/DSL etc... you buy the card, stick it in, install
the software that comes with it, and don't have to do anything else
(unless.... your isp ONLY allows connections from their own network), but
that makes no difference to how to install/use the aircard....
