I just got the Bonus CD from cellcables.com myself and had my Razr V3M
modified within 20 minutes, including a repeat of a seem edit( my fault).
Works like a charm -- but what was really helpful to me (not exactly a
techie), was that I got instant, polite phone support when I got stuck
once, despite the very good step-by-step instructions.
I had almost been ready to follow the Howard Forum instructions, but there
was too much to pull together from different posts and no orderly flow
chart (with illustrations and all possible variations and glitches
covered).
Best $12.00 I ever spent (and Free Shipping).

I purchased the Bonus CD by itself because I already had the cable and
MPT software. It cost $15.00 with free shipping. It is probably all the
same programs that you can download free from various places on the web to
do the seem edits, etc. PLUS it had hundreds of mp3 ringtones,
wallpapers, midi's, etc. and PDF instructions for all the specific
modifications you can do. For me, I was happy to spend the $15 knowing
that all the software was the correct software for my phone and virus free
and all assembled for me on a disk. I don't have a lot of time or
patience to spend downloading all this stuff. Everything worked exactly
as it should and I can now create and transfer mp3 ringtones, wallpapers,
etc. I have the "vibe then ring" option and changed the external display.
Could I have downloaded the programs and done it myself for
free....absolutely. Am I sorry I spent $15 on it...absolutely not! For
me it was worth it.
Also, I had a question about one of the procedures and I shot them an
email and got a very fast response. I'm happy, that's all I can say.

I made the seem edits to unlock my E815, now i can move/copy files fromnews:30bBg.13125$gU4.1380@xxxxxxxxxxx
the memory card. Screw VZW and their stupid Get It Now ringtones; I
make my own and copy them to the phone. It was very easy to do, I found
all the software I needed on the net free of charge. Now the phone
works like it was designed to. I may still have the link to PST that
you'll need to edit your Razr.

The "instructions on the web" are concise, easy to follow
and FREE. It really isn't rocket science folks. If you can read,
and follow instructions - you can do it - easy.
I seriously doubt cellcables.com will be as beneficial or should
I say as comprehensive an up to date as the procedures detailed
on HoFo.
You will have to get a cable - get a genuine Moto cable, NONE other,
then get over to HoFo and modify to your little hearts content.
