VX8300 Music Essentials Kit - USB cable

After 45 minutes on the phone with tech support, following hours trying
to get Media Player 10 to recognize the phone, I finally got the scoop
- up until last week, Verizon has been selling a version of the MEK it
claims was compatible with the VX8100. They recently discovered that
the 8100 and the 8300 are NOT fully compatible. If you keep getting a
Media Player error that the device cannot be found when you try to sync
your VX8300 to your PC, bring the USB cable to any Verizon store and
exchange it for a VX8300 only (newer) version.
