Now you've got me wondering just what that reason is. Care to
elaborate? From your comments, I take it long distance charges aren't
the real issue. If we know the why, we may be able to suggest an
alternative.

Not sure why you need a reason and why you cannot just answer the OP's
question, or not, without questioning his motives. What is that of your
concern.

But... just for grins... here's some reasons this would be nice (I have no
idea what the OP's reason is and I don't care. I can see some valid reasons
though)

One cellphone in family (maybe even business phone, who knows?)
Wife (or kid) has cell phone
Want to check if viocemal exists without having it ring.

Someone borrows your cell phone
Don't want them to have the VM password to check VM for you
So, you want to check VM from a landline without phone ringing

Want to check (and manage) VM without incurring any time usage charges (THIS
is probably why VZW is systematically dissabling ths feature!).
