Thanks for that info. I know other systems still use a general number
to access voicemail as does Cingular wireless. That *86 Verizon uses
surely calls some number out there and I keep on it until I decipher
it. If anyone else out there has found the key PLEASE let me know what
you uncovered. ANYONE out there please HELP! It will be greatly
appreciated. Just turning off the phone does not get me into voicemail
in a stealth mode. That's what I need.

I am looking for a backdoor number for voicemail for the 203-767-XXXX
number in the Bridgeport, CT area. Does anyone know the number or how
to find out what it is? I wish to be able to call for messages from a
landline phone without having the phone ring. I called Verizon and they
told me there is no alternate number. I don't believe them. Personally
I checked to see what number my cell dials when I press *86 though in
the call history it won't show the number. I'd greatly appreciate a
solution to this situation.

Turn your cell phone off and call it from a landline.
