hMM...I was afraid of that. VZW is famous for its tinkering to benefit
itself and the customer be damned....ask any Bluetooth lover.

This aircard is brand new and has both NationAccess and BroadbandAccess and
it appears that what you are telling us is the true nature of the beast.

The curt "We don't support that" attitude of the Aircard Expert I talked to
at VZW seemed to be hiding something he didn't want to talk about. He
repeated this party line more than once after I tried to wheedle more out
of him (before I got pissed). Evidently, I was not the first one to ask
pointed questions about this new software's effect on the system's
security.

They don't give a damn about you or your computer...just the protection of
themselves. He acted as if he'd said something to a customer in the past
and his boss had threatened to fire him if he told anyone else....under
pressure.
